Coronavirus Risk Assessment and Clinic Policy

We have assessed the clinic for risks outlined and put in additional processes as detailed in the table below.

A RISK ASSESSMENT OF THE CLINIC WAS CARRIED OUT ON THE 19/07/2021.

THE PROCESSES PUT IN PLACE ON THE 19/07/2021 WILL BE REASSESSES IN 4 WEEKS TIME UNLESS GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES CHANGE BEFORE THIS DATE. IF GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES CHANGE, ANOTHER RISK ASSESSMENT WILL BE CARRIED OUT IMMEDIATELY. AFTER THE 4 WEEK REVIEW, A FURTHER RISK WILL BE CARRIED OUT IF/WHEN GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES CHANGE.

AREA OF ASSESSMENT

 

CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE
HEIGHTENED CLEANING REGIMES
  • THE DOORBELL WILL BE CLEANED IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE WITH ALCOHOL WIPES  (70%+).
  • THE CLINIC ROOMS WILL BE CLEANED AFTER EACH TREATMENT.
  • HARD SURFACES IN THE COMMON AREAS WILL BE CLEANED AFTER EVERY PATIENT.
  • COMMON AREAS/WASHROOMS WILL BE ROUTINELY CLEANED EVERY 4 HOURS.
INCREASED PROTECTION MEASURES
  • PATIENTS (AND ANY ESSENTIAL CHAPPERONES) WILL BE EMAILED A HEALTH SCREEN 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THEIR APPOINTMENT. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO THE CLINIC BEFORE THEIR VISIT.
  • PATIENTS WILL BE ASKED TO WEAR A MASK TO THEIR APPOINTMENT.
  • PATIENTS WILL BE ASKED TO TURN UP AT THEIR APPOINTMENT TIMES AND NOT TO BRING ANYONE WITH THEM UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. THIS MUST BE AGREED BY THE PRACTITIONER.
  • ON ARRIVAL TO THE CLINIC, THE PATIENT WILL BE ASKED TO WAIT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR AND NOT PRESS THE DOORBELL UNLESS NECESSARY, THEY WILL BE ASKED SANTISE THEIR HANDS (GELL OR WASHING OF HANDS) AND THEIR TEMPERTAURE WILL BE TAKEN AND RECORDED IN THEIR NOTES.
  • ALL LINENS AND RUGS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE TREATMENT ROOM. WHERE APPROPROPRIATE, THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH PLASTIC SO THEY CAN BE DISINFECTED EASILY AND THOROUGHLY AFTER EACH TREATMENT.
  • WINDOWS AND DOORS WILL BE LEFT OPEN WHERE POSSIBLE SO THERE IS ADEQUATE VENTILATION IN THE PREMISES.
  • ONLY CASHLESS PAYMENTS WILL CURRENTLY BE TAKEN AT THE CLINIC. PATIENTS WILL BE ASKED TO PAY BY EITHER A CARD PAYMENT OR BACS TRANSFER.
  • PATIENTS WILL BE ASKED TO USE THE AUTOMATIC CONFIRMATION OR REMINDERS SENT OUT BY CLINIKO OR THE PRACTITIONER CAN TEXT/EMAIL THE PATIENT WITH THEIR BOOKED APPOINTMENT TIME/DATE.
  • THERE IS A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF PRACTITIONERS ON THE PREMISES AT ANY ONE TIME.
  • PRACTITIONERS (AND STAFF WHEN BACK ON THE PREMISES) WILL WEAR APPROPRIATE PPE AND WILL SOCIAL DISTANCE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
PUTTING IN PLACE DISTANCING MEASURES
  • APPOINTMENT TIMES BETWEEN PATIENTS WILL BE STAGGERED TO ALLOW FOR DISTANCING.
  • PATIENT NUMBERS IN COMMON AREAS WILL BE RESTRICTED AND THE WAITING AREA IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. THE PRACTITIONERS IN ON ANY GIVEN DAY WILL LIASE WITH EACH OTHER TO MINIMISE CROSS OVER OF PATIENTS/CLIENTS ENTERING OR EXITING THE PREMISES AT THE SAME TIME OR MEETING EACH OTHER IN THE COMMON AREAS.

STAFF TRAINING

 

  • ANYONE WORKING ON THE CLINIC PREMISES WILL RECEIVE TRAINING ON THE FOLLOWING: CORRECT HANDWASHING TECHNIQUE FOR BEST PRACTICE; DONNING/DOFFING PPE SAFELY AND INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES.

PROVIDING REMOTE/TELEHEALTH CONSULTATIONS

 

  • INITIAL CONSULTATIONS, FOLLOW UP TREATMENT SESSIONS AND MAINTENANCE APPOINTMENTS ARE ALL AVAILABLE VIA TELEPHONE OR ONLINE VIDEO CALLS.
